BMECP is made up of diverse organisations and individuals who are working together to ensure BMECP’s vision and mission is implemented. Its main focus is that BMECP’s activities remain relevant to meeting the needs of the local BME community groups and individuals including Refugee and Asylum Seeker communities.
On its set up in 2000 BMECP had firm grounding in diversity and capitalising on this is one of the reasons that BMECP has gone from strength to strength. This is reflected in the composition of its board of 18 trustees representing the diverse community groups.
BMECP is also mindful that not every group can be represented at Board level and it ensures that the needs of the diverse groups are met through its regular conferences and AGM, newsletter and also through the work that is undertaken by the BMECP’s Staff.
We are thrilled that the long awaited Community Training and Resource Centre (CTARC) is in its final stages of development and we are hopeful that we will be in the Centre within the next few months.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the BMECP Board or participating in the other activities undertaken on behalf of the BMECP Board please contact Doris the Team Leader.
