This service aims to provide a Black and Minority Ethnic Community Development Worker (BME CDW) service within Brighton and Hove with the aim of:

 

• Reducing and eliminating ethnic inequalities in mental health service experience and outcome.
• Developing the cultural capability of mental health services.
• Engaging the BME community and building capacity.

 

This involves working with BME communities as well as liaising very closely with the statutory and other voluntary sector mental health providers.
